Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center

JGMC building

The Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center (JGMC) continues the tradition of previous culture centers at UNL, providing a home away from home while welcoming all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests.

Constructed in 2010, the current center is 30,000 square feet of absolute beauty and was built as the largest multicultural center attached to a student union. We are proud to serve as a shining example of what can be done to serve students, faculty, and staff.

JGMC offers resources and activities supportive of all - there is something here for all, no matter your age, identity(ies), or cultural background. Clubs, groups, and events  help you be a part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus community.  Study spaces and lounge spaces, student organization offices, and meeting/conference rooms are located throught the building's three levels.

JGMC proudly serves as an oasis for students seeking to find their way on campus. Through one-on-one connections, the staff works collaboratively with others to transform the campus into a community where members engage and build relationships through learned experiences, and supporting students throughout their academic careers.
