JGMC building

Continuing the tradition of previous culture centers at UNL, Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center provides provides a home away from home while welcoming all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests.

Constructed in 2010, the center is 37,000 square feet of absolute beauty and was built as the largest multicultural center attached to a student union.

JGMC proudly serves as an oasis for students seeking to find their way on campus. Through one-on-one connections, the staff works collaboratively with others to transform the campus into a community where members engage and build relationships through learned experiences, and supporting students throughout their academic careers.

Discover multiple study spaces and lounges, student organization offices, meeting and conference rooms, and a Dining Services-managed Kosher kitchen - all located throughout the building's three levels.

The center is supported by the Nebraska Unions and the Division of Student Life.
